Seavoy Recognized by Legacy of Faith Advisory Board for Service

The Advisory Board for the Legacy of Faith Endowment Fund recently recognized Tami M. Seavoy as her terms of service on the board came to an end. Seavoy was initially appointed in 2010 by then bishop, Alexander Sample. When Legacy of Faith became a sub-fund of the U.P. Catholic Foundation, Bishop John F Doerfler re-appointed Seavoy in 2018. Seavoy is the longest serving board member for Legacy of Faith since its inception.  

Seavoy is a Marquette attorney with expertise in nonprofit corporations. She serves on a number of other boards including the Northern Michigan University Board of Trustees, Bay Cliff Health Camp, and Diocese of Marquette Finance Council.  

During her tenure on the Legacy of Faith board, Seavoy served in several officer roles and on the grant review committee. She was instrumental in advising on all aspects of continuous improvements to the grant making program. Most recently, she assisted staff with developing Legacy of Faith’s first webinar on “Grant Writing Tips for Faith Formation Grants.”  

Advisory board members are responsible for stewarding the mission of Legacy of Faith to preserve and foster the Catholic faith in the Upper Peninsula through endowment building and grant making that supports, enhances and expands the base educational programs and services of the Diocesan Church.
