The 2019 Bishop’s Ambassador Mass and Dinner was held on October 10th at St. Michael Parish in Marquette. Each fall the Bishop’s Ambassadors gather for a special Mass and dinner with the bishop.
This year’s event included recognition of the 2019 LOF Catholic Service Award (CSA) Recipients: Doreen Parker of Holy Family, Ontonagon, Sally and the late Cliff Luft of St. Michael, Marquette, and Bob & Sandy Jurkovich of St. Peter Cathedral, Marquette.
In addition to honoring the CSA recipients, Bishop John welcomed four new Bishop’s Ambassadors: Mike Prokopowicz and Cathy Kroll of St. Anthony, Gwinn and Ken and Tami Seavoy of St. Michael, Marquette.
The Bishop’s Ambassadors is a membership organization led by Bishop John Doerfler and perpetually by future bishops of the Diocese of Marquette. The primary objective of the Bishop’s Ambassadors is to hand on to future generations the great, living tradition of faith that has been handed down by past generations. Click here to learn more!
Inspired by our bishop’s call to be a friend of Jesus, make a friend, and introduce your friend to Jesus, Bishop’s Ambassadors were invited to bring a guest to the event and were provided with a “Please be my guest” invitation. Likewise, all guests were invited to take two copies of the UPCF Annual Report, one to keep and one to give away. Bishop John addressed the group with messages of hope during the Mass and the program. The program was emceed by Father Al Mott.
