The 2018 Bishop’s Ambassador Mass and Dinner was held on October 2nd at St. Louis the King Parish in Marquette. Each fall the Bishop’s Ambassadors gather for a special Mass and dinner with the bishop.
In addition to the Mass and Dinner, this year’s event included recognition of the 2018 LOF Catholic Service Awards Recipients: Barbara Edwards of Sacred Heart, L’Anse and Mike Prokopowicz and Cathy Kroll of St. Anthony, Gwinn, and the welcoming of two new Bishop’s Ambassadors: Rev. Tim Ekaitis of St. Mary & St. Barbara, Norway and Rev. Greg Heikkala of St. Michael & St. Christopher, Marquette.
Later in the evening, speakers presented a short program highlighting the importance of Catholic Education and an exciting new initiative that will support our Catholic Schools for many years to come.
The Bishop’s Ambassadors is a membership organization led by Bishop John Doerfler and perpetually by future bishops of the Diocese of Marquette. The primary objective of the Bishop’s Ambassadors is to hand on to future generations the great, living tradition of faith that has been handed down by past generations.
Bishop’s Ambassadors are leadership level donors who have committed at least $25,000 to any endowed fund of the diocese, and share the vision for preserving and fostering the Catholic faith through endowment building and grant making. Gifts can be made to any existing endowed fund, or new endowed funds can be established within the Upper Peninsula Catholic Foundation to benefit any parish, school or other diocesan entity.
If you or someone you know would like to join the Bishop’s Ambassadors Organization, please contact Terri Gadzinski at 906-227-9108 or email@example.com.
